Q: When will the exhibition be on?
A: 24 June 2022 to 22 January 2023. 

Q: Is the exhibition free entry?
A: No – the exhibition has timed ticket entry. Book your exhibition tickets today. 

Q: Can you buy a Season Pass for the exhibition?
A: Yes! Season Passes are available to purchase online. They offer unlimited entry to the exhibition from 24 June 2022 - 22 January 2023.

Q: Do I need to pre-book a session if I have a Season Pass or can I visit anytime?
A: As a Season Pass holder, you do not need to book session tickets – you can come along whenever you choose during opening hours. However during peak times, it may be possible that Season Pass holders may need to wait for short time before entry.

Q: Do children receive free admission?
A: Children under 5 years old receive free entry to the exhibition however bookings are required.  If a child under 5 is accompanying a Season Pass holder, they do not need to make a booking but please keep in mind there may be a short wait to enter the exhibition during peak periods.

Q: Where is the exhibition?
A: Level 3 of Queensland Museum. Queensland Museum is located on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, within the South Bank Cultural Precinct in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Q: What is the exhibition about?
A: Disney: The Magic of Animation uncovers the magic behind almost 100 years of Disney Animation. Don’t miss the chance to see the artistry behind your favourite characters and stories and how the magic of animation brought them to life.

Q: Do I need to pre-book a general admission session to the rest of the museum in addition to a ticket to Disney: The Magic of Animation
A: No, entry to the general museum is free and does not require bookings. Tickets to Disney: The Magic of Animation are available to purchase online.

Q: What are the museum’s opening hours for the duration of the exhibition?
A: The museum is open daily from 9:30am - 5pm. Excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday. Open from 1:30pm on Anzac Day. 

Q: What ages is the exhibition suitable for?
A: Disney: The Magic of Animation is suitable for kids aged over 5 years old and is highly recommended for the young, and young at heart! The exhibition is designed to appeal to a wide variety of age groups, with information and exploration designed for both children and adults.

Q: Who is eligible to purchase a Junior ticket?
A: Children aged 5 years and over, primary and secondary school students with valid Student ID are eligible to purchase a Junior ticket. 

Q: How long should I allow for my visit? 
A: After entering the exhibition at the start of your chosen session time you can stay as long as you wish. We recommend allowing approximately 1 hour for your visit. Note that entry at 4pm allows for 1 hour in the exhibition before the museum closes at 5pm.

Q: Can I take in a pram? What items are not allowed in the exhibition? 
A: Yes. Please be aware there is limited room for prams.

No motorcycle helmets

Q: Can I take photos inside the exhibition? 
A: Yes, photography without flash is permitted for personal use. No photography is permitted for commercial use. Strictly no selfie sticks allowed.

Q: Do you have guides and tours within the exhibition? Do you offer audio devices to explain the exhibition?
A: No, unfortunately this service is not offered for this exhibition.

Q: Are there Auslan tours? Can I book an Auslan interpreter? 
A: Currently there are no scheduled tours. Please contact us about booking an Auslan interpreter if required for your own group requirements.

Q: I have hearing difficulties. Can I still enjoy the films in the exhibition? 
A: The films inside the exhibition are subtitled where required.

Q: I have difficulty reading the exhibition text in low light. Do you have anything to assist with this?
A: Large print books are available for the exhibition to assist visitors who may have difficulty reading. These can be requested at the entry to the exhibition.

Q: Is the exhibit wheelchair-friendly? 
A: Yes.

Q: Is there seating within the exhibition?
A: Yes, though limited.

Q: Is the exhibition available in other languages?
A: No.

Q: Are Minnie or Mickey ears including with the exhibition ticket price?
A: You can choose to bundle your exhibition entry with a pair of Mickey or Minnie ears. Note that single ticket bundles include one pair of ears and family ticket bundles include two pairs of ears. You can also purchase Mickey or Minnie ears on their own online or at the Exhibition Shop and Museum Shop on Level 2 (subject to availability).

Q: Where do I collect Mickey or Minnie ears purchased online?
A: Mickey or Minnie ears purchased online as a bundle or on their own can be redeemed upon entry to the exhibition. Please advise our friendly staff of your purchase when presenting your ticket.

Q: Can I attend the exhibition in costume?
A: Guests are welcome to attend the exhibition in costume, however must comply with our costume guidelines. Any costume weaponry must be inspected at the cloakroom before entrance and may be asked to leave at the cloakroom for the duration of visit.

Q: Will there be exhibition talks and events?

Q:Is there a mobile application for my phone/iPad to accompany the exhibition?
A: No.
